Mite/8U Hockey
SFYHA Mite/8U hockey is for children ages 8 & under and consists of 4 levels of play. Level will be determined during evaluations.
- Mite D (Mini Mites) - Beginner Level Skaters
- Mite C - Intermediate Level Skaters
- Mite A/B - Advanced Level Skaters*
- 8U - All Girls
*If your child is placed on a Mite/8U A/B level team, an additional $60 will be invoiced to you as the higher-level teams receive additional ice time.
FREE Registration for New Mites/8U
SFYHA is excited to offer FREE registration for new Mites/8U skaters ($521 value).
Total Cost ranging from $303 - $338 (see breakdown below)
- USA Hockey Registration Fee (required)
- 2018 & Younger: $15
- 2016 - 2017: $50
- SFYHA Fundraiser Fee: $288 (one fee per family - required)
- 1st Year SFYHA Registration Fee: $0
Payment Options - Returning Mite/8U Only
SFYHA offers two payment options:
- Pay in Full and Receive a 5% Discount.
- Pay your registration fees in full and receive a 5% discount for each skater registered.
- 5% Discount Code for First Skater: SFYHA5PIF
- IMPORTANT: You must use the 5% discount code during registration. If this step is missed, you will not receive a refund for the discount.
- Payment Plan
- Pay your registration fees over 6 months with a $100 down-payment due at registration.
- Equal monthly payments will be due beginning on August 15, 2024, and the 15th of September, October, November, December and January.

$288 Required Fundraising Fee
In an effort for SFYHA to keep hockey as affordable as possible, each family is required to participate in one association-wide fundraiser each season.
Each family (regardless of how many skaters) will receive 8 Kwik Trip Ultimate Car Wash cards. Click here for detailed information on this fundraiser.
Returning Mites/8U - The required $288 fundraiser fee has been added into the total registration fee for each level. If you registered multiple skaters last season, a $288 credit has been added to your youngest skaters account to offset the $288 fundraising fee. If you did not get this email or are registering an additional new skater, contact Treasurer@sfyha.com to request this credit.
1st Year Mites/8U - Each family is required to pay the $288 fundraiser fee at check-out during registration. The fundraising fee and USA Hockey registration are the only fees for new Mites/8U.
If you choose not to participate in the annual fundraiser, you will be charged the $288 in addition to your hockey fees.
Account Credits
Account credits (i.e. fundraising, remaining credits from prior years) have been added to your child’s account. If you have multiple children, this was added to the youngest child’s account.
Account credits are visible in your Crossbar account, and you will be prompt to apply the credits automatically during checkout.
If you do not see your account credits listed on your account or have any questions, please contact the SFYHA Treasurer PRIOR to registering.

Important Registration Information
Registration for the 2024/25 hockey season is a two-step process:
Step 1: you must register as a member with USA Hockey before you are able to continue with the SFYHA registration process. Each player will have their own unique USA Hockey Confirmation number which will need to be entered during the SFYHA registration process.
Step 2: Once you have registered as a member with USA Hockey, come back to this SFYHA page to complete the registration process. Reminder: you will need to enter your USA Hockey Confirmation number to proceed with the registration process.
