SFYHA depends on volunteers to ensure the season operates smoothly and keep costs low. We do our very best to provide a variety of volunteer opportunities throughout the season.
Each family is required to volunteer 12 hours with St Francis Youth Hockey Association by February 28, 2025. This requirement is by family and not by player.
All hours volunteered between May 1, 2024, and February 28, 2025, will be allocated towards your family's volunteer hour requirement. SafeSport will count as 2 hours toward your time.
If you do not fulfill the required 12 hours of volunteer time per family, SFYHA will cash the $500 check provided on or after March 1, 2025, as the volunteer fee. This fee is non-negotiable.
New this year: You now have the option to buy out your required volunteer fee during registration for $500. By using the buyout option, you are not required to submit the $500 check to SFYHA prior to tryouts.
