Volunteer Concession Shifts
Concessions stand shifts will be avaliable first to SFYHA parents/families who are required to fulfill their 12 volunteer hours per season. In the event concession shifts are not filled, paid shifts will be made avaliable to workers that have registered to recieve open shift notifications.
All proceeds from the concessions stand go directly to SFYHA. Please ensure to schedule your volunteer shifts early to ensure that you fulfill all 12 hours before the end of the season or the $500 check that was collected will be cashed. Click here for more information on volunteer requirements.
Paid Concession Shifts $15/Hour
Know a teen looking for an occasional/as needed job? SFYHA is in need of occasional concessions workers that are 15+.
Hockey players, siblings, parents etc.
Details
- Hourly rate is $15 per hour.
- Shifts may be avaliable on weekdays & weekends.
- No interview required. Trustworthy & reliable workers will get priority when shifts become avaliable.
- The concessions stand operates from mid-October through the end of February.
Job Duties
- Take & prepare customer food & beverage orders
- Accept cash & card payment and make change as needed
- Ensure that work area and equipment are clean, food products are properly stored, utensils are clean and put away and floor is swept and mopped at end of shift.
Required Skills
- Ability to communicate with customers in a respectful manner
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced, event-driven environment.
- Ability to handle cash accurately and responsibly

Training
- The Concessions Manager will meet with all workers before they are scheduled to give an overview of the job.
Teen Worker Rules
- Friends are not allowed to visit you during your shift.
- The concessions stand is a PHONE FREE ZONE for all teen workers. Phone can be near you in the event of an emergency.
- Absolutely no free food should be given to people you know.
